Naruto 681-682 (Review)

Naruto Chapter 681 and 682 Review

This double chapter review will be short, since I don't have much to say except a bit on C.682.

Ok, so Chapter 681 was a massive revelation type chapter - revealing all sorts of past stuff that is meant to 'shock' the reader.  Honestly I didn't find this overly exciting.  Whatever this 'Black Zetsu' is meant to be other than 'Mother's will', I have no clue.  He states hes Kaguya's child and such and does whatever for Kaguya and blah blah blah.  I did find it kinda funny though he re-wrote that tablet that's always been mentioned - after all this time its been a lie.  Other than that, there wasn't much to be said about the chapter, was a slow paced "reveal" chapter.  Which time from time, are good to read.

As for Chapter 682....what - in - the - hell.  Starting out seeing Amatarasu being cast, I thought this might do some damage to Kaguya.  *some*.  Nope, she just swats it away like nothing.  After that I thought for a moment "ok, maybe something cool is coming from Naruto considering the power hes gained".  I thought that since the lava oriented Rasengan from a few chapters back that he used against Madara - which was cool.

Nope, he makes shadow clones - which is essentially Naruto's bread & butter at this point alongside Rasengan and all its variations (at least it has variations unlike Ichigo in Bleach with his Getsuga...and its 1 other variation as of late).  What really made this epically stupid is he turns each of the clones into 'sexy guys'.  Instead of his stupid ass sexy harem jutsu with all the ladies, its guys.  Obviously I found this absolutely idiotic - but then out of nowhere it actually took Kaguya by surprise.  Not so much like it did Sakura who ended up with a nose bleed.  What was really the kicker is it actually let Naruto land a solid punch on her and sent her flying.

At this point, I wanted to assume 'stupid' was the way to go since Kaguya is probably expecting overly powerful attacks that can be absorbed, deflected, etc.  Afterwards I figured Sasuke & Naruto were going in for some sort of sealing technique but Kaguya, the bitch she is, freezes everything in ice and warps away.  Of course Sasuke breaks all the ice with a variation of Amatarasu.  With a bit of dialogue tossed around, Kaguya separates Naruto & Sasuke and decides to take them out 1 by 1 instead of handling them at once.

I have the feeling either Naruto is going to pull out some epic technique or Sasuke will make his way back and use something cool.  While I'm hoping for an epic battle of sorts, I believe this part of the story needs to hurry up and finish as this 'final battle' has been drawn out for WAY too long and its getting on my nerves.

Oh well, guess we'll see.
